The Lost Girls Dance Empty
PostSubject: The Lost Girls Dance   The Lost Girls Dance I_icon_minitimeMon Jul 19, 2010 1:13 am

I wrote this out of the blue a few nights ago. Feelings of depression can apply to anyone whether they have a hard life or even a seemingly perfect life. No one is perfect and some people deal with it in different ways; I've been in the same spot as the girl in my story but luckily I didn't go threw with it. Enjoy! Suicide isn't ever the answer; I wrote this story as a warning that anyone and everyone can suffer from it.

She looked at herself in the mirror, examining her features. Her blue eyes were large with long eyelashes, her lips were pink and moist and her beautiful hair fell to the sides, framing her perfectly round face. She did this often but it wasn’t because she was vain, it was because wasn’t sure why anyone liked her whether it was in the way of friendship or something more.

Moving further away from the mirror, so that she could look at her entire naked body, her eyes traced the curves of her round body. She turned every way that she could so that she could view every angle of her fair skinned body. Her red, curly hair dropped to the middle of her back tickling it lightly. She ran her fingers along her shoulders, dropping to her breast than to her stomach. Twisting her fingers around her soft thighs she still questioned why anyone would love her.

If it wasn’t for her looks then it must be for her personality although she didn’t have much in the way of friends. Don’t misjudge her because she was surrounded by people at all times for they weren’t her friends even though they might have thought of themselves as that, she didn’t. They were merely people that she saw on a daily basis but that didn’t make them friends. She wasn’t ever close to any of them, or anyone for that matter because she never trusted someone with her deepest secret that wasn’t told to anyone.

Even during the times that should have been the happiest of her life she was at her lowest. Always sad, always crying and always alone. As she continued to study her reflection she realized that she really didn’t have any reason to be sad. She was beautiful, popular, talented in some areas and friendly so she didn’t understand herself when she was having feelings of sadness and loneliness.

Putting on a smile, a happy face, to make it through her day was one of her many talents but over the past few weeks it was becoming more difficult for her to do so. Her esteem was lower that normal, her muscles were always tense and she couldn’t keep her focus on anything. She could only focus on one thing and that was the answer to all of her problems.

She placed the note by the sink and looked at herself once more in the mirror. She took a deep breath and turned to the bathtub that was filled to the top with hot water. She loved taking long, hot baths so this seemed to be the best way to go for her.

In her hand was a single razor blade that she used to slit her slender wrists with care. After they were both opened she dropped the blade then submersed her entire body under the water, leaving only her head above watching the water turn from clear to a dark crimson color.
